Well quite a journey this has been. Originally just a test to see how i could merge something with terrain created in terragen (this was my first effort having only gotten terragen 2 days ago, also this was my first piece of scenery I rendered) I then liked what i saw and developed it further, added more detail to the starfield etc. Then i added cloned a planet from a previous work and threw that in there and played with the look of the sun etc. I liked what i saw and kept going. Then relising i couldn't exactly post a piece of work where i blatantly cloned aspects of my other image (i just didn't feel it was a good thing to do.) i went back and made a new planet. I actually "finished" this project 4 times, but each and every time i would go back and go, oooo how about i change this etc etc
anyway enough of my rambling. Feel free to leave comments and opinions.
oh and on a final note, this is dedicated to someone very special who knows who they are. I leave you with one word, "goodbye".
Overall I like it.
A few things: The 'space dust' seems a little thick in places. The light hitting the water should probably continue further to the right. And last, the black mountain area on the left looks unreal because it grows too black at the top.
I do like it, and I hope whom ever it is for enjoys it and appreciates the work that went into it =]

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
